Too many women are still waiting too long for answers, diagnosis and treatment for endometriosis and adenomyosis.
After hearing from local women about their experiences, I wrote to the Government to raise concerns about delays in diagnosis, access to treatment and the need for women to be taken seriously when seeking help.
I have now received a response from the Minister for Women’s Health, who acknowledges that more needs to be done and has set out some of the work being done nationally to improve care.
That is welcome, but I know for many women this will still feel too slow.
Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences with me. I will continue raising this and pushing for better support and care.
