West Northamptonshire Council is currently consulting on its new Local Plan, which will shape development across our area through to 2043. This includes decisions on housing, infrastructure, transport, and the protection of green spaces.
I have been contacted by many residents who have expressed concerns about aspects of the plan, particularly proposals affecting communities such as Holcot, Overstone and Long Buckby. These are important concerns, and it is essential they are properly considered as the plan progresses.
The consultation provides a formal opportunity for residents, businesses and community groups to share their views. All responses will be reviewed by the Council and will help inform the next stage before the plan is finalised and submitted for examination.
I would strongly encourage everyone to take a few minutes to respond before the consultation closes this Friday. Engaging now is the best way to ensure local priorities and concerns are reflected in future development.
