Primrose Hill car park and St John’s Square in Daventry

Many residents have been in touch with me about works starting at Primrose Hill car park and St John’s Square in Daventry.

As people will know, I opposed the introduction of parking charges in Daventry and worked with residents, businesses and Conservative councillors to make those concerns clear. It’s therefore understandable that these works have raised questions locally about what is being put in place, how it will operate, and what it could mean for the future.

I understand this may relate to ANPR to manage stay limits, but the way this has been communicated has left residents and visitors unsure about what it really means in practice.

I have contacted the Reform led West Northamptonshire Council, to seek clear answers on what is being installed, how it will work, and whether it is linked to any future plans. I will update as soon as I receive a response.
