Stuart recently met with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and other West Yorkshire MPs to discuss the response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Stuart said: “I am pleased to have had the opportunity to raise this with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care given the spike in a number of cases nationally and locally. I understand my constituents are concerned.
The Secretary of State assured me that preparations for West Yorkshire and other regions are well underway and that the Government are doing everything they can, guided by a science-based approach and that they will support workers and business as needed.
We should all play our part by washing our hands regularly and taking the precautions as advised by the Government to slow down the spread and decrease the personal risk.”
