Get creative and help celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day

2025 marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May 1945.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Stuart invites all young artists across the Daventry Constituency to unleash their creativity this Easter. Children of all ages are encouraged to design a colourful and vibrant poster that captures the spirit of celebration.

Think street parties, poppies, waving Union Flags and emotional family reunions — anything that symbolises the joy felt on VE Day.
FUN FACT - Did you know FISH & CHIPS were one of the only foods not to be rationed during the war?

The creator of the winning entry will receive a VE Day Commemorative Flag and their design on display at the Daventry Museum – the perfect tribute to this historic day!

The deadline for entries is Friday, 2 May 2025. Artwork can be submitted either by post or email:

  • Post/hand deliver: Stuart Andrew MP, iCon Centre, Eastern Way, Daventry NN11 0QB
  • Email (scanned copies): stuart.andrew,[email protected]

The poster can be on A4 or A3 paper or card, with entry details on the back. For guidance, you can also download a template with entry details at the bottom of this page.
Entry details must include the artist's name, age, and a parent or guardian's contact email / phone number.

Stuart looks forward to seeing your wonderful creations! Good luck!

By entering, you agree that the office of Stuart Andrew MP may contact you regarding the competition and may display your artwork publicly in Daventry and on social media platforms as part of the celebrations.
