Stuart Andrew MP has nominated The Saffron Desi Indian Restaurant in Guiseley to represent the constituency in the prestigious Lyca Tiffin Cup 2011.
The national competition is held each year in order to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country. It is run by the Lyca Tiffin Club, which was established to celebrate culinary diversity. This year, 60 restaurants have been nominated and The Saffron Desi, having made it through the Regional Finals, have now won a place in the National Finals to be held in July.
Stuart Andrew MP said: "I am delighted that my nomination was accepted and that The Saffron Desi, have been chosen to represent our region in the Grand Final. They obviously did so well in the Regional Finals and impressed their mystery diner too! The restaurant really deserves its place in the National Finals and I wish them the best of luck".
