Pleased to be back in the constituency after another busy few weeks in Westminster.
In Westminster this week I listened to the Chancellor announce his plans under the Spring 2024 Budget. I particularly welcome the changes to the High Income Child Benefit Charge threshold as this is something I had raised on behalf of my constituents ahead of the Budget, and indeed several times over the past few years. For a breakdown of the policies announced and what this may mean for you, please see here.
Please note that due to the widely reported increase in threats against sitting Members of Parliament and following security advice, it is with regret that I am unable to hold my open surgeries for the foreseeable future. Please get in touch to request a private appointment if you need to speak to me in person on either stuart.andrew.mp@parliament.uk or 0113 824 4961. If attending an appointment in person, a form of photo identification will be required for security purposes.
In the patch this week, casework arriving has been on issues such as the quality of adult social care, provision of social housing, quality of back to work assistance, access to support for behavioural issues, littering, highways, issues with emergency services, ear wax removal, energy prices and parking to name but a few.
As ever, if you feel I can be of any assistance at all on any subject, please get in touch.
