A very different week this week, as I have been working from Liverpool as the city is hosting this year’s Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine.
The atmosphere in Liverpool this week has been incredible, and it has been great to see the wider cultural programme that has showcased both UK and Ukrainian culture. I have also visited a number of charities and community spaces as part of my wider Ministerial portfolio.
I have still been working hard to address arriving casework and policy enquiries while I have been in Liverpool.
In my Westminster office this week, several constituents have got in touch on issues such as the Coronation, the local elections and voter identification, and NHS dentistry. All policy queries have either been responded to or raised with Government officials in order to respond as fully as possible.
In the patch, I have been supporting constituents with casework on issues with highways, housing, social care, passport applications, local elections and healthcare providers.
Looking ahead, unfortunately I am unable to hold my usual surgeries in Morrisons on Saturday 20th May. I will still be available at Pudsey Market on Friday 19th May if you wish to speak to me in person, or you can of course contact me in the usual way if there is anything I can do to be of assistance, or if you have any issues you need to raise with me. Please do not hesitate to do so, as I am here to help.
