Pleased to be back in the constituency getting ready to hold my Pudsey Market Surgery shortly after a busy week in Westminster this week.
A reminder that I am unfortunately unable to hold my usual Morrisons surgeries in Guiseley and Horsforth tomorrow, so if you had planned to attend please do get in touch via email instead.
Elsewhere in the patch this week, I have been busy assisting with issues with social housing, public transport, access to benefits, education settings, passports, and planning.
We have also received an open letter of apology from Yorkshire Water this week, which I understand has been sent to customers and is also readily available in the press should you wish to read it fully. I am pleased that Yorkshire Water have pledged to do better, and that steps are being taken to address storm overflows.
I was also pleased that the West Yorkshire Combined Authority were awarded over £3million of additional funding this week to improve our bus services and help keep bus prices low for longer.
Issues being raised with me in my Westminster office this week have been on a wide range of policy subjects. The majority have been responded to, a handful I have raised with Government officials and a few I will be taking forward to relevant Government Ministers this afternoon.
As ever, please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to be of assistance, or if you have any issues you need to raise with me.
