Happy to be back home after a busy first week back in Westminster after the Conference Recess.
An equally busy weekend in the patch lies ahead, starting with my Pudsey Market surgery this morning and a number of meetings and surgery appointments. Tomorrow I will be holding my advice surgeries in Horsforth Morrisons at 10:00am and Guiseley Morrisons at 11:30am. Please do come down if you wish to speak with me, as no appointment is needed.
If you are unable to attend an open surgery or if it is not suitable for your circumstances or the matter you wish to discuss, please get in touch to request a private appointment.
In Westminster this week, the focus has rightly been on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and like my constituents my thoughts are constantly with the civilians who are caught up in this nightmare. This is a fast-moving situation which I am monitoring closely, and I am continuing to push for any action to protect and help civilians.
The casework arriving in my constituency office this week has been quieter than usual but we have been helping with concerns about improper airport parking in neighbouring streets, issues in obtaining visas, overgrowing shrubbery on local highways and access to social housing.
Please do also be aware that there is currently a Met Office Yellow Rain warning in force in our area due to Storm Bebet. There is a medium risk of flooding in place today and tomorrow, so please do be vigilant and avoid approaching any bodies of water.
As ever, if you need any assistance or if you have any concerns you wish to raise with me, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
