Democratic Access Tours
Free guided tours of Parliament are available to all constituents.
The walking tour of the Palace of Westminster includes:
- Westminster Hall, the ancient hall at the heart of the Palace where Parliament first sat and where many historic events have taken place
- The House of Commons, including the Speaker's Chair and the famous green benches and the 'lobbies' where MPs actually vote
- The House of Lords, including the Royal Throne
- The Queen's Robing Room, Royal Gallery and many other fascinating parts of the Palace of Westminster
If you would like to arrange a Democratic Access Tour, please contact me on stuart.andrew.mp@parliament.uk or by using the contact form on this website. Please include "Democratic Access Tour Request" in the subject of your email.
Please note that tours are very popular and places are limited, so often have to be booked several months in advance.
Big Ben and Elizabeth Tower Tours
The Elizabeth Tower, known to many as Big Ben, is currently undergoing the most extensive conservation project since it was built in Victorian times. During this work, the Elizabeth Tower is closed to visitors.
While we are working to on this much-loved building, you can still have a look at our work from Westminster Bridge and the other side of the Thames. Please sign up to our Big Ben newsletter and be among the first to know when bookings for tours are being accepted again.
